RETURN POLICY

 

General In-Store Return Policy

At Hicks Nurseries, we are confident that the quality of our merchandise will meet, if not exceed, your expectations.  If you are not satisfied with a product, simply bring it back within 30 days of purchase. * Excludes outdoor patio furniture and accessories. See a sales associate for further details.

Refunds will be in the original form of payment.  Simply present your receipt or your Hicks Advantage membership number.

  • Check purchases will be refunded with cash after a 15-day clearing period or a check will be mailed after clearing before 15 days.

  • For credit card purchases, the original credit card used must be presented.

 

Guarantees

All guarantees exclude Red Tag, Delivery and Installation charges, and Clearance items.

Plant Guarantee
All houseplants and annuals fall under our 30-day guarantee.  Select outdoor plants have a further guarantee as outlined below.

One Year Guarantee
For all winter-hardy trees and shrubs planted in the ground, a store credit will be issued for the price you paid for the plant.

Two Year Extended Guarantee
For all trees and shrubs planted in the ground by Hicks Nurseries, a one-time replacement, at similar value, will be installed according to individual circumstances.

In-Season Guarantee
Roses and perennials are guaranteed until November 1st of the same year purchased.

Furniture
If you are not satisfied with your outdoor furniture or patio umbrella, you have 3 days from the time of delivery to communicate your intent to return. Returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.  After the 3-day period, outdoor furniture and patio umbrellas are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Custom Orders
Custom furniture orders are not returnable to Hicks Nurseries. Any changes to a customer order must be made within 24 hours of placing the initial order. All custom orders are covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee.

 

Artificial Christmas Tree In-Store Return Policy & Warranty Information

We take pride in offering the best quality lifelike pre-lit Christmas trees. All trees have industry-leading manufacturer warrantees.

Hicks Nurseries Artificial Christmas Tree In-Store Return Policy:

  • All newly purchased artificial trees must be returned within two weeks of the purchase date.
  • Trees returned outside of that two-week window will not be accepted.
  • Trees cannot be returned after December 24th of the year purchased.
  • Trees sold after 12/25 cannot be returned.
  • All clearance trees are final sale.

Lights on your Christmas Tree:

First and Second Season
As a courtesy to our customers, if lights fail on your pre-lit tree during the first or second season*, we will make a reasonable effort to get the lights working. If we are unable to repair or replace your lights, we will take your tree back and offer you a store credit for the price you paid.

Third Season
If the lights on your pre-lit tree fail after the third season from the original date of purchase, we will offer you a discount of 30% off the current lowest price** on the purchase of a new pre-lit artificial Christmas tree.

*The first season includes the year in which the tree is purchased.
**Excludes clearance trees.

 

Hicks Essentials Online Return Policy for Shipped Orders to the Contiguous U.S.

We are confident that the quality of our merchandise will meet, if not exceed, your expectations. However, if you are not satisfied with a product*, contact us within 30 days of purchase** and we will make it right. Here’s how:

  • Email us at SHOP@hicksnurseries.com
  • Make sure to include:
    • Your online order number
    • Product you would like to return
    • Reason why you’re returning

We will email you to confirm we received your return request with the following instructions on how to return your item(s):

  1. Ensure the item(s) you’re returning have not been used, and if possible in the original packaging.
  2. Pack the product(s) into appropriate shipping package along with a copy of the confirmation email we send you
  3. Attach the prepaid UPS shipping label to the package and bring it to UPS.

Once your product has been received and approved, our customer service associate will call you to confirm your credit card information so that we can process your return. This step is necessary as we do not store customer credit card information in our system.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

We commit to processing your return within 5 days of receiving the package. Depending on bank processing times, you should see the return credit on the item that you purchased in your account within 3 business days of the credit being issued, but that could be up to 30 days after we receive your return. Shipping charges on the original order are not refundable.

PLEASE NOTE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY:

*Products not eligible for return: Clearance/final sale items. Artificial Christmas Trees cannot be returned after December 24th of the year purchased. Artificial Christmas Trees sold after 12/25 cannot be returned.
** Artificial Christmas Trees must be returned within 14 day of purchase.
